Through my refinement before test printing, i wanted to add some more focus to the piece that could really be seen after printing, namely smaller objects in the distance that would eventually show up as either a huge failure or great success. Either way, my approach to it remained the same; using greyscale to complete the work looking purely through the light sources and their effect on the environment rather than working directly with colour.

As my main aim was to put more focal points into the image and really move the eye to the smaller details, i began work on the castle situated in the mountain at the back. This was where i wanted to place my character, as it looks a little more eerie with somebody moving in towards the light source in the entrance than using the same staple figure searching for something as i have in the previous images.
Again i worked on the light and the ways in which it would interact with the scene, including new lighting on the small fortress on the right of the castle, and even more torches on the small village to the right.

At this point i had come again to consider the addition of the dome. I think looking at it now, it doesn't quite fit the look i was going for, but it would work in other images, and perhaps very well in a gaming environment as a small plot device in a certain level. Looking at what i am aiming to achieve in this piece i really don't think it needs to be there.

After a few more small refinements in the back and foreground i think it's time to look at printing it. For this, i won't convert it to cmyk, i will just see the way it comes out with the printer itself using it's colour conversion and see the results. But for now, this is the image i will use to base my colour on, and the one i will use as a test print.
