The test print in itself revealed a few things, firstly; the blacks came out far too dark to work properly with the image i wanted to produce. Secondly, the contract of the image itself was slightly off when put onto paper (probably due to the colour profiling now working in print) and thirdly the size of the smaller details came out perfectly well. This allows for more details to be added whilst still working towards an overall finished concept.

With the next big thing coming up being crit, i thought the best thing to do would be to get my final concept peer reviewed. This is mainly due to seeing the response to the lack of colour in the image. I personally think the greyscale works as a light study,  but not much more than that. For me, i think the image needs colour to really make it work the way i hoped it would.

Although some of the response to the greyscale was good, a lot of the comment was on the lack of colour. As i used the greyscale as a light study anyway it didn't really seem like an issue. I could use this colour to add more perspective to the image whilst maintaining the already established and refined light work.
