Again, continuing the theme of using greyscale to construct images, i took the same approach to this image. I wanted something that would include a large body of water, whilst introducing the idea of great depth along with some kind of prestigious stone pillars used to guard something whilst allowing small pathways between the two.

The concept came about quickly. Borrowing themes from my previous picture, i decided to add a distant shot of some kind of light.

The approach is fairly similar to the last concept, but this time using darker colours to create caves and areas of shade and mystery, and including lighter areas to add the illusion of light.

I further refined the pillars until they had a little more stature and focus and added colour to allude to water.

One of my favourite things about digital artwork is the ease of manipulation. I decided to flip the image so far and see the variation in focal points.

With the flip taken place i believe the image alludes to an entirely different pathway and allows for a different view of the concept. There is still work to be done in order to refine it, but for not i believe this will work to put across the concept i've been working towards.
