I've been working on the categories mentioned in my artists wireframing with the stack of 3, 6 and 9 image links to work from.

Going through the planning and working out what categories would fit, i realised all the artists i had included would make everything far too difficult to complete. With that in mind i have to cut my artists down to 9 so they'll all fit where i planned them to.

Out of these artists i picked originally;

  • John Howe - Lord of the Rings concept/character designer - http://www.john-howe.com/
  • Andy Park - 3D Character Design/Environmental Artwork - http://www.andyparkart.com/
  • Warrick Wong - 2D Character Design & Environmental Concepts - http://warrickwongdesign.com/
  • Joel Dos Reis Viegas - 2D/3D Character Gaming Design - Arkham Origins/Thief - http://www.feerik-art.com/
  • Robert Simons - 2D/3D Machine/Environmental Design - http://www.robertdraws.com/
  • Aaron Sims - 2D/3D Character/Costume Design - http://asc-vfx.com/
  • John Nizzi - 2D/3D Character Concepts - Iron Man 3, TMNT, Thor http://www.joshnizzi.com/

  • Robert McKinnon - 2D/3D Character Concept/3D concept Keyframes - Marvel, 20th Century Fox, Playstation - http://www.krop.com/robmckinnon
  • Andrew Leung - 2D Environmental Concepts - Iron Man 3 - http://anihaus.com/

  • Todd S. Marshall - 2D Character/Creature/Environmental Concepts - http://www.marshalls-art.com/

  • James Paick - 2D Character/Environment Design - Titanfall - http://scribblepadstudios.com/
  • Frank Hong - 2D Environmental Concepts - http://frankhong.daportfolio.com/

  • Of these i've chosen to go with;

    • John Howe
    • Aaron Sims
    • Andrew Leung
    • Joel Dos Reis Viegas
    • Robert Simmons
    • Warrick Wong
    • Andy Park
    • James Paick
    • John Nizzi

    I've used all these artists works as image links so far so it seems the logical choice, also some of these artists are so critically acclaimed that they really should be the main focus of the event.

    Aside from that i have been trying to sort of the site itself, picking up the bugs in my theme and working around the things that remain wrong with it, such as this section on my homepage that seems to have appeared as if from no where.As mentioned in my previous post, some of the gaps have been occurring all over the site at odd intervals. The only way i have managed to get anything to move is to resize all my images, which is incredibly annoying as it requires no design skill whatsoever. But it seems thus far that the rest of my site will just be about resizing images.

    The other addition i have made is a shop, it became difficult seeing as there is no where for people to pay and no way to set anything up as i actually have to use real paypal details, but the shop is now situated on my site without customisation of catagory text. Although that's an annoyance, atleast i have a shop now.
